¿Post-holiday syndrome?Don’t worry! Barcelona continues on fire with new festivals and luxury concerts:

MAS I MAS

The closing concert of the 13th San Miguel Mas i Mas Festival is played by the singer and new Andalusian flamenco sensation Rocío Márquez, that has aroused admiration and unprecedented enthusiasm following her album “El niño” (2015). A work born as a tribute to the tradition of singing through one of its greatest exponents, as was the singer Pepe Marchena, but at the same time it changes both in substance and in form the flamenco music. Special guest musician Raul Fernandez “Refree” which was co-product from the disk along with the consecrated Faustino Núñez. The stage will be great: The Palau de la Música Catalana.

TIBIDABO LIVE FESTIVAL

Can you imagine seeing Yo La Tengo while you spin on a Ferris wheel? This will be possible in the first day of Tibidabo Live Festival, a new festival for two nights is installed on the veteran amusement park in the city. Besides the trio of New Jersey, the main attraction of the first day and with some of the best live indie rock of the past 30 years will act on a stage with panoramic views of Barcelona and with a new album under his arm, “Stuff like that there “(2015), will also play Albert Cavalier, Black Box RedNiña Coyote Eta Chico Tornado, Pet Fennec, Rafael Berrio and The Young Wait. And note the power of the second day: led by Mogwai, the largest band of the called post-rock, who are touring to celebrate its 20th anniversary and released their eighth album last year, “Rave Tapas “(2014). And some locals: Belako, Eraul, Ghost Number & His Tipsy Gipsies, House of Wolves, Los Bracco and Ocellot.

Our National Day will end with a special and unique night in the Jardines del Ateneo Santboià with two references of top American music that revolutionized the music scene in recent years. On the one hand Howe Gelb, Giant Sand leader, which this year celebrated its 30 years on stage and having also a long solo career, breaking the boundaries of conventional folk, and on the other hand, M. Ward, with a solid solo career in which he has published great albums as “Transistor Radio” (2015) and other works with his project She&Him with Zooey Deschanel. He has also collaborated with Monsters of Folk. The session is opened by Senior and Cor Brutal.

Led by singer and guitarist Ross Lynch, the US group R5 was formed in 2009 in Los Angeles and is composed by Ross brothers: Riker Lynch (lead guitar and vocals), Rydel Lynch (keyboards and vocals) and a friend, Ellington Ratliff (drums and vocals). Since its inception, R5 has quickly been defined as one of the most interesting voices of the international pop-rock panorama. The band took a giant step forward with the recent release of its single “Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight”, belonging to his second and brand new album, “Sometime Last Night”. The first album of the band, “Louder” (2013), got immediately placed at number 1 iTunes in over 10 countries since its launch. The group made a triumphant tour through Europe in early 2014 and released “R5 Live in London”
