Orquestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD)

Although they have gone down in history as responsible for “Enolay Gay” British Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) have always been much more than a single successful authors. Synth-pop pioneers, Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys had success in 1980 with “Organisation” But still, they never stopped experimenting. The liverpool duo has still energy in “English Electric” work in which revived electronic pop to assert themselves as a band with present and future.

Anthony & The Johnsons

The americans are returning to the festival after its concert in 2005, wich confirmes Barcelona as star of the contemporary song. Anthony is admired by artists such as Dennis Hopper, Kate Bush, Björk and Lou Reed through a voice that combines jazz, soul and theater.

Spiritualized

Two decades after publishing the essential “Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating On Space” the British found that mixture of rock, gospel, psychedelia, garage and pop are the perfect vehicle to express their obsessions plants.

Chet Faker

The name could lead to a joke but Chet Faker, the project captained by the young Nick Murphy is a very serious matter. An elegant and clever update of the soul with touches of jazz and electronic rhythms.

Friday 29

Ride

Ride was one of the first worldwide successes of Creation Records in the 90’s: pioneers of sound “shoegaze”. Their concert on May 29 at Primavera Sound 2015 will be the only one in Spain, a unique opportunity to see and hear the long-awaited return of Ride.

Patti Smith & Band perform ‘Horses’

Eternal Muse of New York rock and avant-garde poet, Patti Smith returns to the festival to face the disk that turned her into legend.

Alt-J

They won the Mercury Prize in 2012 for his twisted debut, “An Awesome Wave” and it was a surprise, but its second album, “This Is All Yours” (2014), is the phenomena of the season. The trio of Leeds has embraced the commercial success using a complex mix of hip hop, folk, dubstep and rock.

Dissabte 30

The Strokes

Their “This Is It” (2000) caused a real earthquake; a record that at the beginning of the last decade did return the rock to the covers of music magazines.

Underworld – dubnobasswithmyheadman live

Underworld are living history of techno and responsible for the fact that progressive house ended up becoming a mass phenomenon in the mid 90s.

Interpol

They, along with The Strokes, are one of the few bands that have managed to survive this wave of post-punk and rock of the beginning of the last decade. The band now returns with “The Painter” (2015) and continues delivering hits.
