The 38th edition of the GREC festival it’s almost here, and will last all July in Barcelona.
GREC is an international festival of theater, music, dance and circus essential in Barcelona’s summer nights and referent of the performing arts in Europe. For the 2014 edition, GREC program has 79 shows to be represented in 41 spaces throughout the city, although most of the proposals focus on Montjuïc.
The big new this year is the party at the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc to commemorate the 40 years of the company Dagoll Dagom. This will take place on July 16 and promises to be a great show in which actors and musicians who have accompanied them throughout their history will appear as well as the company’s most iconic themes.
Among the highlights of the festival there is The Fountainhead, a story told with live music and video on the creation, integrity and love, by the Dutch company Toneelgroep. Another highlight of the show is Vader of Peeping Tom, which explores the memories of an old man through his delusions and secrets.
As in previous editions, younger viewers have their place within the MiniGREC, with more than six motions to enjoy the family theater.
Tickets are sold individually for each show and there are many discounts on the GREC website. You can get your ticket at Tiquet Rambles, GREC Festival’s website or at the box offices of the venues of each show.
Another year Barcelona GREC Festival will delight attendees and has become the cultural festival with international recognition. Do not miss it!
