FIRA DE SANTA LLÚCIA: THE CHRISTMAS MARKET WITH MORE HISTORY OF CATALONIA
The market reaches 229 editions since the first time in 1786 when was open only three days: the Immaculate (December 8), Santa Lucia in the Cathedral Square (December 13) and St. Thomas in the Plaza del Pi, Sant Josep Oriol and El Born (December 21). In this market were sold figures, buildings and items for the crib as fountains, mills or bridges.

Santa Llúcia 2015, located opposite the Cathedral, is composed of 287 stalls full of Christmas products ranging from figures, trees and Christmas lights or handicrafts
As part of the Fira de Santa Llúcia, on December 11th it is celebrated the 22nd edition of the National Day of Christmas customs and traditions in Catalonia. A day when parades, plays, Christmas dances, and activities for the kits to enjoy the tradition of Santa Llúcia.

The youngest of the house can have a great time at the Fira de Santa Llúcia 2015. A “giant Tio” that is installed in the Plaça Nova, will “shit” sweets for all children that hit him with a cane.
