It has become a classic in the days of August; San Miguel Mas i Mas Festival turns Barcelona into musical epicenter. With a wide variety of concerts, ranging from Jazz to Techno through playing flamenco and other types of music as the Soul, this edition offers more than 300 performances in 8 spaces of the city to the delight of the audience.
Mas i Mas Festival was created in 2003, and now in its twelfth edition, it has not only achieved the goal of providing a first class cultural activity during the month of less activity in the city, but it has established itself as a Classic festival in Barcelona.
Mas i Mas will begin with a performance by guitar legend Jeff Beck. The rock star will perform at the inaugural concert in Poble Espanyol on July 10 as a preamble to the festival. The final concert, on August 29 at Palau de la Música, will be played by Aloe Blacc, the new sensation of international soul & funk.
In addition, there will be the presence of such prominent artists as Vestard Shimkus, Daniel Ligorio, Lluís Rodríguez Salva, China Moses & Raphael Lemonnier, Freddy Cole and Lucky Peterson Band, among other great artists. There will be a free concert by the Municipal Band of Barcelona on July 31 in Plaça del Rei.
This year, the festival will take place in eight musical spaces in the district of Ciutat Vella, except the inaugural concert in Poble Espanyol. The scenarios are: Jamboree (Jazz), Moog (Techno) Tarantos Club (Soul-Funk), Tarantos (30 minutes flamenco), MUHBA, Palau de la Música, El Born (Cultural Centre) and Poble Espanyol (opening concert).
Tickets are sold individually for each concert, and the price ranges from 4 to 44 euros depending on the show. Tickets can be purchased from the website of the festival itself, which usually include a small discount, and at the box office of each show.
Do not miss this summer festival in the city of Barcelona.
