Free activities for children in Barcelona

Actividades gratuitas barcelona niños

The city of Barcelona offers countless activities, workshops and guided tours designed to amuse and entertain children. In general, all os them have an economic cost that not all parents can afford, so we want to show you some activities and spaces that Barcelona offers for free.

Children love to play and enjoy the swing parks, therefore, one of the best ways to entertain without spending is taking them to the best parks in Barcelona. One of the most popular and appreciated by both locals and tourists is Parc de la Ciutadella, where we find spaces for people of all ages. Here you can enjoy a nice walk with children, the beauty of the lake and its monumental waterfall and let the little ones play on the swings. Another loved park is Diagonal Mar park. The highlight of this outdoor space is its giant slides, which offer a unique experience for children as much as for parents, because its large width allows them to use them together.

Another of the best activities for children is a bike route. Kids will love spending time with their parents and what better way than through sports activities? Barcelona offers spectacular sceneries you can not miss if you decide to visit the city. You can begin at the Columbus Monument and continue to Barceloneta. Then you can continue to the Olympic port and then to the Zoo, until you arrive to Parc de la Ciutadella. Since the route we suggest ends in this iconic park, why not bring some food and have a picnic there? Children will have fun!

In addition to the free activities that can be done outdoors in Barcelona with children, there are some companies that are responsible to announce workshops, exhibitions, theater and many more activities both at an economical cost or even free. For example Butxaca, a web site where you will find the cultural agenda of Barcelona with all kinds of activities for all ages. The advantage of such workshops is that in addition to amuse and entertain children, provide extensive cultural knowledge
